It's a 1987 Regal Turbo T with GN badges (not correctly installed) and black painted parts. |

Extremely beautiful. |

So it's a bogus Grand National look alike? |

Episode 11 he gives it away. If it is a fake GN, they sure did add a bunch of GN parts to it (badges, wheels, seats) |

it sucks that he gave the car away though but i think it was not a good idea but look what would happen if it wasn't that cadillac he bought after he gave the grand national look alike away. |

Definitly not a GN. This is a Reagal T-Type GN did not have a silver stripe they were all black. The wheels are T-Type they are alluminum. GN wheels are chrome steel with black accents. Look at the wheels on the GNs in the Gran National section These cars from the factory were not refered to as Turbo T's. They were named Regal T-TYPE. The majority of them were painted a charcoal gray |

These wheels were also used on the Grand National but only in 1984-85. The Regal T/Type and Turbo T still used them in 1986-1987. |

the soundtrack in the show made it sound like it had a V8, or, it just had engine exhaust work since the 3.8's sound beastly as is |

In Episode 2.14, Charlie buys his Buick back from the girl he gave it to in Episode 1.11. She painted flowers on it. The car isn't seen in Episode 2.15. In Episode 2.16, the Buick is back with the original black and silver paint scheme. EDIT: Here's a screencap from Episode 2.16. It's looks like some of the driving scenes might have reused footage of the car. -- Last edit: 2012-02-11 03:47:04 |

From Ep. 2.21: Charlie crashes in to a garage to kill a bad guy. A 2WAQ233 (same as vehicle_223014-Jeep-Grand-Cherokee-2005.html) California license plate is on the car. -- Last edit: 2012-02-11 03:51:55 |

Wow you guys clearly do not know these cars... those wheels came on 84/85 GN's with black in teh slots and 86 T-types and 87 turbo "T" and 87 regals with the "t" package with olds 307's under the hood and they were all natural finish. this is clearly a turbo car...look at the piping for the front mount intercooler... possibly its an 85 "hot air" GN with a added front mount or its an 86/87 GN with 85 wheels and a front mount intercooler. |

also.. who ever owned the car could have added the stripe.. majority painted charcoal grey? haha you could get a t-type in 86 and 87 Tubro "T"/turbo regal limited/base turbo regal in a number of colors.. including some two tone designer series cars. blue, burgandy, rosewood, silver, white, charcoal, sage green, black, black/gray(WH1), gold, ice blue...etc etc... -- Last edit: 2009-08-16 08:09:57 |

Look closely at those pictures. They did not use a Turbo Buick for the crash scene. In the first pic you can see the rounded lower edge of the 1/4 window that was featured on the '81-'87 Cutlass, not the squared off window that a Buick would have. If you look at the shot from the rear, the vertical Cutlass lights can be seen and have not only been painted over, but fake red tape taillights have been added to simulate the look of the Buick. -- Last edit: 2010-02-26 01:53:09 |
