Circa 1933 Renault. I'll never get to know the differences between al their model names ![]() |

Never would have guessed it's a Renault. Bodywork looks German (Wanderer etc.) |

Primaquatre? http://www.renaultoloog.nl/renaultoloog.htm This site is sometimes helpful ... ![]() |

My guess is Primaquatre, too. Small Monaquatre has loures instead of vent doors as on this pic. |

Mais les Primaquatre n'avaient que trois volets dans le capot... |

This is not a Renault .It is a German 1933 Adler Trumpf 1.5 litre cabrio |

My mistake... because of the missing eagle (= Adler) on the grille, and I was just looking for a French car... Adler, indeed, but I think the Trumpf had a 1700 engine (Trumpf 1700 AV). |

Fair enough, but it's a lot like a Primaquatre: grille, wheels, hubcaps. I bet someone took the Adler off the grille for patriotic reasons ... ![]() |

I have done a further search on this one because it remained puzzling to me .When taking a close look at the headlights with the small wings on top of them , at the hood wing ,front bumper and hubcaps I go for the almost identical Rosengart Supertraction Cabriolet LR 500 of 1933 built under Adler license and based on the Adler sv 1.6 litre Trumf rather than the original Adler. The Rosengart script is missing as would have been the eagle commented by chris 40 but then not for patriotic reasons. .These cars are difficult to distinguish .Another almost identical Adler-license built version was the Belgian Imperia TA , but Imperias had classical hood louvres rather than ventilation doors seen here.In the context of 1947 France a Rosengart would be more likely. |

Pilou, you are absolutely right that it is a Rosengart. ![]() The Adler and Imperia versions had different logos at the top of the grille, which would be visible. ![]() Adler ![]() Impéria T.A.7 From the images I found only the 1933 Rosengart had the ventilation doors. Later models used louvres. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The front bumper didn't match those I found. Also the three windscreen wipers are unusual. Perhaps the middle one was added at a later time. http://www.rosengart-automobile.de/register.htm http://www.club-rosengart-france.fr/menu.htm http://home.hetnet.nl/~ekeren.ton/rosengart/index.HTML |
