Not sure if Leyland did a special export taxi-spec Marina as a sequel to the Perkins diesel-engined Oxfords, aimed at HK, RSP, Malaysia etc, but very likely they tried to do something. |

The white Police Suzuki in foreground worth an entry IMHO. |

A recent article on the British Leyland Chronicles Facebook page gives some info about Malaysian and Singaporean Marina taxis. They were Diesels, locally assembled by Wearne's from CKD kits, and were unpopular, especially in Singapore, because the weight of the engine led to steering and suspension problems, and excessive tyre wear. A comment mentions the first Malaysian Diesel Marina was registered in mid 1973. https://www.facebook.com/Leyland.Chronicles/posts/460185688811877 And here's a couple of photos with Marina Taxis in Malaysia.
