2004-09, most likely Multivan |

@Mystery Man: the TV series is shot in South Africa, where the 2020 windowed T6 is apparently sold only as Transporter Crew Bus, Kombi and Caravelle: was the Multivan name used, for the South African T5? -- Last edit: 2020-03-26 10:42:06 |

@elmer It's indeed a good point. I don't thought on the different model names. But the naming was the same with the T5 back then. So our van above is either a higher trim Kombi (that version is called Caravelle in Europe (or at least in Germany)) or rather a Caravelle (Multivan in Europe). Usually the Multivan was the bestseller so they were more common. But an interior view (if there was one), especially of the rear seats, could help to confirm one of both versions. In any case it's made for ZA due to the different names. Are they locally built? |

I think it's the ZA-Caravelle. |

Thanks for these details, Mystery Man. According to WP, the T5 was not built in South Africa: the production list of the South African factory (WP too) says the same. -- Last edit: 2020-03-31 18:23:10 |
