Due to the design of the bonnet, they can’t achieve alignment unless a lot more parts are changed, incurring greater expense. Apparently, in order to fit a bonnet that matches the R-R radiator, it would be necessary to fit the bonnet halves, the side panels, and new front wings. Bearing in mind that at the lowest point in the curve, the value of these cars was only a few hundred pounds, if they could get away with just swapping grilles then it seems they would. |
