Ancient London bus with 'London Bus' as its destination, just in case you thought it was a sack of potatoes. Yellow American pedestrian traffic lights. There was an attempt. |

Actually it's a bit more interesting than that - it's an RML class AEC Routemaster New as London Transport RML2397, JJD397D which was exported to Sofia in Bulgaria, and given an unusual conversion. The registration plate seen in the movie is a fake, of course. ![]() -- Last edit: 2020-04-17 17:00:00 |

Ancient London buses have solid tyres, guard rails between the wheels, and no compartment for the driver, who sat in the open. They also had open top decks and outside staircases. As London buses go, this is about as modern as you can get and still have the engine at the front, (1966) although it is not quite as recent as the registration would have you thinking. -- Last edit: 2020-04-17 17:01:17 |
