2004+ front face. If not a fake one, it's an early 2005 plate: registration numbers in 2005 went from to 5843 SB 33 1701 SQ 33 in Gironde. ⇒ 2004-05 model? -- Last edit: 2015-12-23 00:53:06 |

Peugeot UK's corporate site says 2005. http://www.peugeotpress.co.uk/release-640.htm Press release issued in December 04 so even in France where model years aren't used it seems unlikely that deliveries would start before the new year considering lead times and factory shutdowns etc? Unless, of course, the UK was some months behind. Late 2005 seems to have been when they revamped the trim levels and upgraded specs: http://www.peugeotpress.co.uk/release-476.htm so still possible that there's some other minor change? -- Last edit: 2015-12-23 01:59:29 |

See these two 2004 plate numbers here (fr - 542 CYX 78) and here (fr - at 16:29 in the video, the plate number is clearly visible: 281 DEG 78). The first links shows most probably a factory picture with a pre-production vehicle, but the second has a registration number that was given several months later. But still in 2004, as the last number for this year was 261 DFG 78 ![]() From 2001 onwards only. "Standard" model years were used before, and as the changed wasn't "promoted" most people are apparently not aware of it. -- Last edit: 2015-12-24 03:54:09 |

So it must be that the facelift was available in the UK some time after the rest of Europe. Having looked into it more other links give Jan/Feb 05 as the start of sales here: http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/peugeot/607-2000/?section=history and Link to "www.parkers.co.uk" so it would mean UK ones are for sure 2005+ (not that this is useful as late 607s are really rare in the UK so we're not likely to find many on IMCDB). |

Glass's says Dec 2004 for UK. I guess there were too many unwanted pre-facelifts sloshing round in the system to risk earlier announcement. |
