There is no such thing as a 1968 Mark III. All the first models were VIN-coded as 1969 models. |

Like the 64 1/2 Mustang (they were registered as 65s) there are some differences bewteen them. In a 68 1/2 Mark III and a 69 the differnces were: steering wheel, knobs, some added colors and options, covered seat belt anchors, and the Cartier clock. |

This car is/was a 69. It was purchased new by my uncle in 1969 and sold to my father in about 1970 or 71. I don’t know who he sold it to or how he tracked it to being the car from the movie but it surfaced again in the mid 1980’s in Lancaster Ohio. The car was a nice car but was nothing but trouble from the time it was new! |

Dad called it the “pink Lincoln” while he owned it (and he still calls it that). Lol |
