Mk3 sporty version?? XR2?? |

Not a Fiesta, maybe a Peugeot 205? |

I thought another 205 more than Fiesta too, some fancy version by fogs? |

I thought 205 at first glance. Then enlarged it. |

205s don't usually have Ford oval badges ...... |

I'm not 100% convinced of 205 so didn't change it myself. It's not a Fiesta due to the small rectangular foglamps (XR2s/RSs had dual fogs, lesser ones had spot lamps and the Si - too late for here - had round foglamps). |

I'm very puzzled, enlarging indeed badge seems indeed oval but I can't see well..could fogs be after market? |

I'm still saying 205, here's the scene: https://youtu.be/4DSOgbMk0y0?t=329 |

Seeing that, I'm agreeing with 205. |

Definitely Fordy to me - oval badge, and inlet slot above bumper. Agree not a proper sporty one, but accessory spoiler and fogs?? |

I think they only did spot lamps and the Si bodykit for accessories, the badge also looks less oval as the car gets closer on the YouTube video. The other issue is that a Fiesta MK3 would be a bit tight for a 1989 episode, I checked IMDB and that says this aired in January so before the Fiesta entered series production (February 89, with sales from April). But... Now having watched the scene a few times, I'm less convinced about a 205 due to the size of the door mirrors and the missing roof aerial. -- Last edit: 2020-08-14 22:42:56 |
