I was going to say Maserati too, but the one in your link does not look so similar |

It's indeed a Maserati, but I think it's a 1957 A6G/54 2000 Coupé by Frua, one of two built. If I'm right, it may be the one built in 1957 with chassis #2194 that was black with a blue stripe and had a blue leather interior. Its whereabouts seem to be unknown. http://www.pietro-frua.de/1956_maserati.htm |

This is a great find by "sixcyl" and a very good identification by "rpcm", and it is the only photo document for the lost #2194 so far. It documents also that #2194 was a Coupé and not a Spider (as some sources erroneously reported). Thanks a lot! I have split up my documentation on the 3rd series Frua Maserati A6G into a new page for the two Coupés: http://www.pietro-frua.de/1956_maserati-coupe.htm @sixcyl: Is the garage visble from the outside in the movie? I would like to identify it. Stefan Dierkes Registro Pietro Frua www.pietro-frua.de -- Last edit: 2008-03-16 21:31:44 |
