From Wikipedia: This having been filmed in Morocco, the few Fiat Uno seen in the movie are more likely a local production... (except the newer 2007 one, of course, but the one actually used is an old one) -- Last edit: 2008-04-23 16:46:02 |

Weren't these scenes (made in Morocco) rather set in Egypt? South Africa was just for a short scene in the beginning. -- Last edit: 2008-04-24 18:12:26 |

I haven't seen the film, but the producers seem to avoid naming the country - see this shot of a television news report about a terrorist attack in "North Africa": /vehicle_156347-Ford-M151--MUTT-.html It's worth noting that Morocco is itself alleged to be a country where the US has operated secret prisons. If the script was explicitly about a prisoner "rendered" to Morocco, the Moroccan government would not have allowed the producers to film there. |
