The Mack Vision Highway Truck was introduced in 1999 as a 2000 model. |

The way the front end sweeps back over where the cab should be (along with no visible cab doors) indicates the Mack was supposed to be an autonomous road tractor. It didn’t have a driver’s cab as it didn't need a driver, sort of like a slave locomotive. Of course, knowing how movies are made, likely the driver(s) was/were hidden somewhere on-board, controlling the truck. |

That puts following questions: 1) Why it have huge sleeper? 2) Why it stopped after being hit by gunfire? Personally I still think, that they were just wanting incredibly aero-looking truck. |

The Mack Vision looks nothing like this.. but I think it was built out of a Kenworth T2000. It has the body, side skirts/fairings and visors from the T2000. -- Last edit: 2015-01-02 05:39:41 |

That's a good observation. The heft of that cab looks nothing like a Mack. Should we rename this as Mack "Made for Movie", or something like that ? |
