MS85 Toyota Crown Super Saloon 2600 the British market model) - have to wait for someone from UK for the year but probably 1976 or 77. -- Last edit: 2007-12-05 18:37:41 |

Can it be an orign Japanese car? The front plate is not the usual UK-size and the mirrors on the fender are the old japanese style. |

Oops, sorry, the mirrors aren't on the fender, I just have seen on the small pic. But the front plate-holder, resp. the overriders beside it have japanese size. |

I've seen 1970s Japanese cars here in the UK with square two-line plates. Perhaps Japanese manufacturers just didn't make different versions for Europe back then. |

This seems to match descriptions of Feb 77+ UK update as MS85HGW code, particularly grille and side trim. WGW xxxS series issued Dec 77 to July 78 so plates are plausible. IIRC the Crown in the sequel /vehicle.php?id=350076 was bluer. -- Last edit: 2010-11-16 23:42:49 |
