![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() C plate (1965), however it's got quad headlights and it's a 2 seater which would make it a 1966-only 400 GT / 400 GT Interim and not the GT 400 2+2. |

GGK 7C was London July 65 - I wonder if it was first UK Lambo. Pity about the dent in the nose. My Lambo book suggests the 350/400 difference was messy, with the 400 engine being an option on the 350 rather than a distinct model, so there were 131 GTs made 1964-67 with 23 as 400s, and that progressive running changes applied equally to both versions. So this looks the later grille and has cowl vents which seem to have arrived during 65, 4 headlights could occur on either model, and it has single wiper which became 2 in 66. |

Is it true about the wipers? Here's a 400 GT with a single wiper in the center (it says it's a 2+2 in the picture, but it looks like a 2 seater): Link to "commons.wikimedia.org" Though, I guess if quad headlights did appear on 350 GT too and if the plate is genuine, then should it be 1965 350 GT then? -- Last edit: 2020-09-11 05:09:08 |

The book is an older charity shop bargain by Pete Lyons who should know what he was talking about, but not a Lambo bible in terms of pinning down every detail. So these running changes are lumped together in one para of narrative, and he also says that Lambo offered upgrades to 350 owners on request. But 65 350 GT seems best match to me. I guess GGK 7C would have been a known car at the time - maybe a road test or similar in magazines?? - but no trail found. |

After I zoomed on the rear badge, I'll agree with 350 GT:![]() Though it is strange, since I can't find any source claiming that 350 GT had quad headlamps, even as options. Like here, for instance, where it says that the only external changes appeared to be quad headlamps at the front, a smaller back window and a differently-shaped bootlid, though it's possibly not the most reliable source out there. |

Browsing this register page seems to show quite a few 350 GTs with 4 lights (though mostly modern pics, not period/original photos). No obvious candidate for GGK 7C, but restos, colour changes and moves to different countries could conceal many stories. Chassis 17003 seems to have arrived in UK August 64, probably white, 1 wiper, and registered DRO 4B - now dark blue, overseas and has acquired 4 lights - and seems to be first UK arrival. Then chassis #18004 in Aug 65, pale metallic blue registered GN 34 (= July 65 according to plate info) in older (but not 1960s) pics with 4 lights and 2 wipers, then became dark blue in modern pics though plate expired in 86. We also have this silver with rectangular lights on the Top Gear stage with illegible plate but could be xxx 4x, and there's several photos online for a silver DPD 6T with rectangular lights We've identified this vehicle using the details you provided OTHERS G J F FABRICATIONS7 CUBIC 1965 Registration number: DPD 6T Body type: Coupe Colour: Silver Date of first registration: June 1979 ... exported from UK 2009. So no idea what became of GGK 7C, apart from the intriguing date match with GN 34's arrival. Also no idea how complete that register page is or what gaps may exist. There's a page at the bottom of "Mystery Cars". |

Update on GN 34 - it's now in the Louwman Museum and "was delivered to the English collector C.W.P. Hampton." |
