I've checked up on this. (According to my encyclopedia of American cars 1930-1980) There were only 17 of these cars made, between 1947 & 1949 (fitted with a 4 cylinder hercules engine 113cid 60hp) said to be the brainchild of Glen Gordon "Gary" Davis (his idea came originally from Howard Hughes 'Tricycle' car). There were plans to build a 7-seater sedan and an 11-seater station wagon.! This didn't come to pass, as mr.Davis was convicted of fraud (although he claimed his innocence)![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I've added lots of extra pics, as we're unlikely to see another one of these ![]() -- Last edit: 2007-12-07 10:17:46 |

Thanks a lot, Stronghold. I love when someone finds a strange old car. I knew that one, but it's great to find it in a film or TV serie. Here's a link to genuine Davis advertisings. http://chuckstoyland.com/potpourri/coololdcars/#davis |
