Hilux = Tacoma in North America. Though it could be a 4Runner. |

In NZ a 4Runner was the 4 door wagon version on the HiLux frame which is called a Surf in Japan - there are thousands of Surfs here as jap imports. The HiLux is a pickup with either 4 doors or 2 and a choice of 4 or 2 wheel drive. I think the one in this picture dates from the mid-'90s, although the grille looks a bit different to our ones. |

Good to know, nzcarnerd. But this one has Arizona plates. I think we're going to have to see more of this to determine whether this is a pickup, or a 4-Runner. |

The Tacoma has a slightly different grille from the 4Runner; on the 4Runner the grille bars run straight across, while on the Tacoma there are two vertical bars intersecting them on either side of the Toyota badge. This is most likely a Tacoma (note the two vertical grille bars). 1990 4Runner: Link to "ppgmedia.buysell.com" 1990 Tacoma: http://z.about.com/d/4wheeldrive/1/0/Z/R/1/Chad_MI_90ToyPU_4RR.jpg |

Well done, rusty. That should confirm this as a Toyota Tacoma. |

Note: No Tacoma was around before the 1995 model year. |

It's a 1989-91 Toyota 4x4 Truck, not a Tacoma. |
