I'm making up the script here, but before Aug 85 as still has side indicators instead of on bumper ends. Which for posh version (spoiler, fogs, headlight wipers) means 360 2-litre from Sept 82 as GLS or GLT (which added boot spoiler, black side mouldings, alloys). So if GLS as suggested and a three-letter grille badge it's Sept 82 to May 85 360 (when GLS renamed to GL).

Up to 1983 all 300s had 2 part windows on the front passenger doors and the wipers were set up for LHD no matter which side the steering wheel was.
From 1984 the front windows were one piece with mirrors that could be adjusted internally and RHD versions had wipers set up the correct way.
360 GLS and pre 1986 GLE with steel wheels were also fitted with chrome wheel trims. All 360s that did not have front fog lights had black plastic blanking panels in the front valance instead.(In the UK anyway)

Found a reference to confirm window change in Sept 83, along with a door mirror change (now fixed with moving glass instead of whole thing moving, but no idea if this is visually recognisable); wipers not mentioned.

So we're still OK with Sept 82 to Sept 83 360 GLS??

Agreed. The mirrors on the 1983 or before cars are mounted on the doorskin an inch or so below the window line.
