301 D or 601 D? |

Those long side spears on each side of the bonnet are puzzling. Usually they would indicate 1937 201 M, but the bonnet, in the first thumb, seems to be much longer as if this was a bigger model. On 301 D (cabriolet), 401 D (roadster) there would be vent doors (though when I did some googling, I came across a 401 (cabriolet) which did have long spears instead of vents). 401 Eclipse had those as well, but this isn't an Eclipse (this one seems to have a normal fabric roof). The normal 601 Roadster seemed to have had vents as well, but I'm not sure if they did Cabriolet body-style with thicker windscreen frames. -- Last edit: 2020-10-23 17:30:02 |

Low headlights seems to have been 1935-37 across Peugeot range, although some 1937s had new format of lights behind grille. My Peugeot picture book suggests most 1935s had side vents, with only top end/coachbuilds having spears, but more spears appeared in 36 and even more in 37. Text is in foreign, so I don't really understand it and have to trust the drawings, which is why I'm not saying anything very precise. |
