These were the US equivalent of the AEC Matador and supplied to UK under lend lease for the same duties, artillery towing . A friend of mine drove them in the Italian campaign during WW2 and much preferred them to the Matador as they were permanent four wheel drive and very rarely got bogged down in the Italian mud.
