You certainly did! /vehicle_29136-Renault-Type-AG.html /vehicle_19726-Renault-Type-AG.html The second one shows the same vehicle, reg. number [1692 RK 2]. Was identified as a 'Renault Type AG'. As I haven't found any other reference I cannot confirm that 'AG' is correct. At that time, mid 1930s, usually three letter codes were used by Renault and there was a Type AG from 1905-10. |

Thank you Alex. I didn't have the time to look for it ... I think we could leave the "Type" mention, as we do for the AHS or AHN , which are just entered as "Renault AHN". What do you think? |

It seems that 'Type' was used unless a full name was added before the letter code (like 'Vivastella PG') which became common in the late 1920s. For trucks, buses, tractors no extra names were given and models kept 'Type' well into the 1940s -- at least according to http://www.renaultoloog.nl/ If we change anything we should do it consistent for all listed Renaults according to the correct historic use. Perhaps you could check some of your books, Jean-Marc. I hope you have one on Renault naming conventions! ![]() |
