9907 AP: "UV 8238 / 11 KB / 9907 AP : This car was first registered on 1st November 1929. It was registered to Mr John Kane Archer, of 3 Rosenal Crescent, London SW11 on the 23rd April 1957. At this time it was cream in colour. The next owner was a Mr Kenneth Ball of Mulberry Place, Ditchling, Sussex on the 8th August 1967. He gave it the number plate “11 KB”. I am told it had its body (cycle wings and footsteps) put on by the motoring author Kenneth Ball, who wrote many car workshop manuals before Haynes dominated the market. It was registered 9907 AP from March 1976. In September 1978 it was chocolate brown in colour. It was subsequently rebuilt by a Vauxhall dealer [Blakes of Chesterfield] and stood in their showroom for many years, only being used for local shows to promote the garage. The cycle wings were fitted as the originals were shot and it looked more “racy” for a showroom based promotional car. It was then sold through a well known dealer [Malcolm C Elder]. It was subsequently sold again, this time to someone in Spain. Registration Number UV 8238 [ also 11 KB and 9907 AP ] Country [location] Spain(?) Current Owner Year 1929 Chassis T.579 Body Engine RA.840" Source: https://hurlinghamweb.wordpress.com/vauxhall-hurlinghams-in-existence/ |
