Thanks. It's a bit of a surprise find for myself. In fact I don't even know if they were common or rare back then. I can't find production numbers either. Some info (with some brochures): http://www.mikipress.com/m-base/2011/12/2.html Early models (1948-49) had a grille similar to 1946-48 US Ford's, then in '50 they switched to a simpler grille: https://www.nissan-global.com/EN/ZEROEMISSION/HISTORY/TAMASENIOR/ We already have its predecessor - the dinky Tama Electric Vehicle, though back then they were still called Tokyo Electric Car Company. Later, in 1949 (or thereabouts), they renamed to Tama Electric Car Company and in 1951 (or thereabouts) as Tama Motor Company, before finally becoming Prince Motor Company in 1952. Would be interesting to know if there any survivors left nowadays. -- Last edit: 2020-12-16 03:59:49 |

The car was also briefly sold from 1952 as the Ohta PC sedan, equipped with a conventional engine, but wasn't a sales success, like many of Ohta's post-war ventures. Notice the mustachioed grille. |
