Wiki- Prior to the "official" 1984 and 1985 Eldorado convertibles marketed by Cadillac, some 1979–1983 Eldorados were made into coach convertibles by independent coachbuilders e.g. American Sunroof Corporation, Custom Coach (Lima, Ohio—this coachbuilder turned a few 1977 and 1978 Eldorados into convertibles), Hess & Eisenhardt. |

... or American Custom Coachworks, the Coach Design Group, Chicago Coachworks, Bradford Motorcars and probably a few more that I don't know of. But no need to go that far: This is a conversion by the American Sunroof Corporation with a tonneau cover you just can't fold properly (yes, I tried - many times!). I just can't tell if it's the "official" 1984-85 version (I think it is), or an older pre-"official" one. |

Good eye. It’s a 1985 “official” ASC convertible. I know because it’s my car. I’m like the fifth owner. |
