Since I don't know the date of the registration (if it's real). Maybe it was still called "2 Litre Sports", instead of "DB1", which was called (or coined by the people, press, ads or by the manufacturer itself ?) as such after the "DB2" was introduced in 1950 :

Edit 2: I think the plate is fake. Partly because it doesn't appear on the DB1 registry, and mostly, because I think this example in the following link with the "unique folding windscreen" looks to be the same as the subject vehicle, which happens to have a folding windscreen as well ( no other example in the gallery, as shown in the link above, was with this folding one-piece windscreen ) :

EGT 293 was London, Aug-Nov 37, so doesn't make much sense here. Maybe film date meant [AMC/49/6] was still unregistered (ignoring the fake AM 1950 showplate) when it was borrowed from A-M??
