Number plate is COB 393 , but no results on DVLA ( at least when I tried ): Found a gallery with the same car (and number plate) seen in the background with its front shown (the one without the headlights) : https://www.irishvintagescene.ie/ballymena-car-fest-2/ Austin ? |

COB 393 was Birmingham, May - June 36. Austins were born in Birmingham, although they did allow other makes to be registered as well. |

It is an Austin without any doubt. The problem is which one. The number of bonnet vents (3) suggests a Ten, if so which car was it before it was chopped into a pickup? My suggestion is a Lichfield or a Sherborne, wire wheels eliminate the Cambridge. -- Last edit: 2021-01-06 09:02:25 |
