Strange glassfibre flipover front, probably "inspired" by the Clubman (launched Oct 69); a few of these "enhancements" were quickly offered in early 70s by anybody and everybody from recognised conversions to back street bodgers. All of which is a long-winded way of saying I've no idea who did this one or how to pursue it. Probably the only answers could be found from adverts in 1971-ish copies of Hot Car or Triple-C (= Car & Car Conversions). |

My Dad and I did exactly this on a wasted 1962 Mini. The only problem was that the glass fibre panel was a reject bought cheaply, so it always looked a bit lopsided. BTW, that #plate looks decidedly iffy. -- Last edit: 2021-01-09 09:39:22 |
