Is there a [model code] for S2 and later 127s?? Most are blank but we have a few continuing with [100GL] from S1, and a small batch as [127]. |

From what I know (but surely @electra225 knows more than me), [100GL] is the 900 engine code more than a chassis code. So I guess the 2a serie bearing this code are the ones identified as 900. Generally speaking, chassis code should be just 127 for European ones and 147 for South American ones, and VINs seem to reflect this. This forum post seems to confirm this: https://fiat127club.forumfree.it/m/?t=42720450 From that discussion, looks like that 1050 motor had 127A0000 code, Sport had 127A1000 and 127A046 for S3 etc. Here: Link to "www.autopareri.com" there is indeed 127 as "type code" and X1/4 as "project code". -- Last edit: 2021-01-23 22:29:15 |

Agree with Bux_48. So we should add the [147] code to the European 127 D, Panorama, Rustica and Unificata too. |

And Fiorino D too, no? |

I would say every 1981+ Fiorino 1a serie, unless they don't have an own code ![]() |

Sorry... About codes I have a lot of information in my books but I need time to check. I consider myself expert in recognizing the body differencies and colours. |

This is a 1977-81 in L (or later Special/Confort) trim. as in Germnay most probably a 900 L or a 1050 L. The pixture of the BMW E32 make me see the longer 1979+ side trim so probbably a 1050 -- Last edit: 2021-01-24 12:45:36 |

The Italian built 1050 engined cars had got an imported engine but the 127D, 147 and wagons (as 198+ Fiorinos) were completely made in Brazil and imported (I shoud add the rare 127 Rustica which was painted and trimmed by... Lamborghini |
