1988-up did not have sealed beam headlamps, nor did they have front sidemarker lights in the bumper, the sidemarker lights were moved up next to the headlights in 88. If you look close enough you can see this car has the 6-light setup ( lo-beam, hi-beam, fog, fog, hi-beam, lo-beam) which would make it around an 84 |

Actually it is a 1988. Pontiac redesigned the rear fascia in 1988 and then the front fascia and interior for 1989. And the wheels are from 88-89. |

actually Pontiac redesigned the entire Sunbird in 1988 save for the front sheetmetal and facia on the se and GT both of which had pop-up headlights. I have had about 20 different J-bodies and atleast one Sunbird of each year from 84-94 and can assure you that this is a pre 88 |
