I suppose it's the 1974 Disney Dalmatians again, but has white lower body bits not seen before. |

The very same car from the 1996 reboot of 101 Dalmatians, but before the upgrades. |

If one compares the car in this thumbnail with the 1996 film car, they're obviously not the same vehicle, nor are they painted the same: /v010957.html Since the trailer shows Cruella stealing a 4-door Panther Deville, I'd say a fairly reasonable theory is that the reboot is paying direct homage to the 2-door of the 1996 film with, but is retconning the 2-door modifications for simplicity (budget + no need to remove the 1996 car from its current display and refurbish the whole thing). Such would also benefit storytelling purposes, given the third passenger in the backseat. |

.... and the 2021 car seems to be LHD unlike the 1990s 2-door with RHD. |

It's a LHD standard De Ville 4-door sedan BUT they've modified the trunk. Here's a couple of pics that I found in november 2019: ![]() ![]() There's also a video that I re-posted on my YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/vao6T-SaveU |

Cruella (2021) Panther Deville Details Purchase Details: ℹ️Hero Car: Vehicle Purchased from Car Fanatic & Restorer, Peter Mayo. You can tell this car has been used as the Hero car with confirmation from Peter directly & previous auction listings show the same with a red interior & LHD match the car on display downtown district, CA. ℹ️Stunt/Parts Car: Vehicle Purchased as a parts car in a poor state. Sources confirmed this car/parts is used in the first escape scene where Estella (Now Cruella) Hits a curb during a power slide, sideswipes several parked cars and then drives through parked motorbikes. Original Registration: ℹ️Hero Car: ULA802W ℹ️Stunt/Parts Car: Origin Unknown Fun behind-the-scenes fact: while filming, the crew had just 36-hours to turn the bronze car used in the getaway scene for stunts into Cruella’s black-and-white “hero” car with no detail overlooked down to the elegant polished, handmade license plates. Well, you preceded me: I had the honor and pleasure to speak by email with Mr. Peter Mayo who confirmed me that they bought 2 De Villes for the movie. The main car is the black one which you've mentioned here, while the other one It's a 1977 De Ville (Chassis no. 2066 - Reg no. SYO 403S) originally equipped with a 4.2 L Jaguar XK6 engine. Here's some pics of the car when was for sale in 2019 on PCC website: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() From the beginning I always had a strong suspicion that the examples used in the movie were just these, It was a great satisfaction to find that I had guessed right! by Ivan from Italy, a greatest Panther De Ville enthusiast! |

The thumbnail is cropped. The photo seems to be from an Instagram account associated with Disney. |
