I am not versed on chassis swaps but my dad was telling me that he sees on the car shows (mecum/barrett jackson) that a Bel Air could be made into an Impala by swapping parts. Now I find that hard to believe someone would go through all this trouble. However, you could sell the car for more if it 'looks' like an Impala...vs. a Bel Air. I tried looking online to see if anyone has done this and I did not find anything concrete. I normally don't argue with my father as that is a moot point. He still says his grandfather (my great grand pop) had a 1972 Silverado....and I told him that was impossible since the Silverado name debuted for 1999.
