Are we sure about DAF 66? Looks more like a Japanese Kei thing. |

Can't think of anything japanese, but agree that it doesn't look like DAF either. In particularly that sideline (or whatever it is) right above the front wheel arch, which doesn't really fit any DAF from the 1970s. Maybe it's just an early Golf mk1 ? |

Yes, looks plausible. I'll wait for a +1 before I change it. -- Last edit: 2023-02-04 18:36:58 |

I'm not sure what it is, but to me more Daffy than Golfish (which doesn't really tick any boxes). Big windows ... a bit Fiat 850-ish, if it didn't have a big black front grille ... |

@dsl, but the side trim and other details are not characteristic to DAF 66.. The scene at 38:14 : ![]() ..and DAF 66 (look at the rear bumper, and also, where is that line above front wheel arch?): ![]() -- Last edit: 2021-02-24 02:57:53 |

I wasn't voting DAF, just saying there was some Daffyness in the air. How about a mid-70s Toyota Publica?? |

It's a bit esoteric, dsl. German car brands dominate 70% of the market in Germany, in 1981 that would have been over 90%. |

I'm not seeing wraparound front bumper on the subject car, nor any chrome bits on it ![]() p.s. I don't want this to turn into a long argument. It can stay as DAF 66 if there's no consensus, just pointing out some details which, in my eyes, do not fit for DAF. |
