Hopefully we don't provoke annother nationalistic-coloured discussion, but the condition of the US-roads is indeed terrifying. 3 years ago, at a round-trip from N.Y. up to the Falls, over Pennsylvania and Washington D.C. back to N.Y. we really had some road-conditions like in the agony of the DDR in the late 80ies. ![]() The Virgin Music Store is already disappeared from the Times Square. But it wasn't that big as it was told, anyways. Sure, a big store, but the selection wasn't that big. The tables were positioned in quite a big distance and weren't as full as in other big CD-store. |

Looks like a GL, due to the plastic side moldings, and bumpers. |

Ingo, I don't know where exactly you went in Pennsylvania, but our roads are to be desired. However, we have grown used to it and don't really think anything of it anymore. We know the money either isn't there or our politicians aren't willing to spend it. I am curious where you went in PA though. |

@DM-491: I don't have the route-descriptions left, but we came from the North, from Niagara Falls via Rochester/NY. So we've passed Williamsport and Allentown on the way to Philadelphia. Mostly we took the Interstates, but for several parts also country roads. All of them were quite rough. Slightly better than the roads in New York State and New Jersey, but much worse than those in Maryland and Washington D.C. My wife thought about to visit the real location of /movie.php?id=107048 , but it was too far away. -- Last edit: 2013-05-11 20:41:55 |

Oh Punxsatawney. Yeah that's on the other side of the state from where you were. That's closer to my neck of the woods. |
