You're right. In Germany Rover belongs -since years- the the brands with the worst reputation, similar like Lada and Daewoo/Chevrolet. |

@ JAMesgRAVES: Ah, you're right - I wondered about that. @ Ingo: and yet BMW took it over in 1994 ... in fairness I think quality improved during the Honda era, and Rover's lack of success - elsewhere as in Germany - was as much due to incompetent marketing as to quality issues. The 75 was by no means a bad car, and at the time of the insolvency there were other promising products in the pipeline. |
