It is a C-Class [C205], obviously, by the headlights shape and the coupe bodystyle. It's what you think it is. -- Last edit: 2023-12-06 12:39:02 |

What if I thought it was a chocolate fudge twinkie with sprinkles and whipped cream, would it be that then? -- Last edit: 2021-04-04 16:54:02 |

That is what AMG-line means. My car is a C220d AMG-line Premium estate car. No 6.3 litre engine, just the 180bhp diesel, which is quite quick enough in U.K. with our crowded roads, narrow country lanes, and 70mph overall speed limit. I do have the electronics, the purdah glass, the electrically moved and heated seats, the air con and the sunroof though. I wouldn’t pay extra for the leather or the supersonic sound system, because my ears couldn’t tell the difference and I chuck muddy sailing gear into the car. Plus the fact that it was expensive enough already! -- Last edit: 2021-04-04 19:28:21 |

Audi do the same with S-line, and VW the same with R-line, unless it’s changed in the last years since I bought the Mercédès. |

BMW does a similar thing with the M too ( that trio got me really confused sometimes.. ) VW's R-line is not much seen here ( yet ) so for now my head can rest a little bit.. |

... and Hyundai with their N Line, Ford with ST Line, Seat with FR line, Peugeot with GT line etc pp. |

at least Ford's ST line are vehicles of their own, you can't dress a regular model with ST stuff to do an " unofficial " ST well.. here, i don't know what is/was offered in Europe i don't really expect to see a Seat FR or Peugeot GT .. not that i don't want to but... -- Last edit: 2021-04-04 20:28:27 |

M-B don’t try to conceal what they are doing. The only AMG markings on my car are on the footwell mats, and it says C220d on the tailgate. |
