It sure is two different cars on these pictures, the second one is probably even a Simca 900

could be indeed, but as there no view from the front with this one, we cannot affirm it..

I did not think two cars were used.?
It was all one scene ..shaft took the car from the french racketeer (seen driving in main picture) ... then drove on to the slave labour main base ...where he knocked over a guy & eventually crashed on the front stairway to the chateau.
(The second picture you see shaft run from the car..before it blows up.!)
Maybe ..as with the OM trucks... they changed vehicles during the filming.!
If I get a chance..I will check the end of the dvd & get pictures of the front of this simca..before shaft crashes it.! (maybe solve this mystery.)

The main picture shows a car with trim on the sides and in the front doors you can see it´s small "quarterwindows" that can be opened. In the front there´s an emblem where it stands GLS, even if it can´t be seen here. The other picture shows a more basic vehicle without these features.

But they do carry the same numberplates, so the producer was quite picky with details anyway :)

That is obvious they change the plates for masking this trick... :) another detail I din'dn't catch immediately= the bumpers are différent. Therefore we can affirm the second is either a 900 of 1963/1965 or a 1000L of 1966/1968

You're correct about the different bumpers... here's an earlier scene with the car-

Seeing this, I realize it´s been too long since i drove my Simca 1000. It´s truly an amusing car to drive :)
