This is a Silver Ghost, chassis #273KF, a permanent Salamanca by Holbrook. It is today in exactly the same condition as in 1938 down to the smallest details ! -- Last edit: 2007-04-17 18:18:18 |

"On the estate there was a chauffeur by the name of Fairchild, who had been imported from England years ago, together with a new Rolls-Royce. Fairchild was a fine chauffeur of considerable polish, like the eight cars in his care. And he had a daughter by the name of... Sabrina." (voice-over intro) |

"permanent Salamanca" ... Do you mean a Sedanca De Ville (the roof over the front seat is removable)? |

1924 according to http://pineconearchive.fileburstcdn.com/140815PCCdE.pdf 1924 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost Riviera Salamanca Cabriolet Permanent - Only 18k miles. Chassis #273KF In 1924, silent movie star Harold Lloyd purchased this car new from a Los Angeles dealer. It remained in his estate until his death in 1975 when it was auctioned off to its second California owner who kept the car until 2014. The documented mileage is 18,886 and the car is totally original with exception on the leather which was replaced by Lloyd due to damage from a water leak in his garage roof. The me- chanics reflect the low mileage and superb condition of this vehicle. Fea- tured extensively in the 1954 Oscar winning film Sabrina starring Audrey Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart & William Holden. |

Should be 3 stars - driven by a character and shown several times. |
