Another one ? : |

Not quite sure about the red one - slanted angle for rear of side window might be 71 (in which case it should have a split windscreen with a bit of a Vee'd top edge, which doesn't seem to be present). Also no rear bumper wrapround which should be present on a 73+. Not a 72 as that year had second side window, so my hunch is maybe 71, but I'm not going to argue too hard if it stays 73 as entered. White in thumbs looks definite 73 or later with vertical rear edge to side window. Sequence shown here. |

Difficult angle, but it looked to me like it doesn't have a split windscreen (see thumb 1), so I'm not too keen on the '71 theory. I do see rear bumper wrapping around like on 73+ models, however https://www.madle.org/erear.htm |

Fair enough - I'll go with 73+ as well. But I've a hunch from this one that there may be an additional change to the door window angle not shown in the linked photo sequence, so possibly 73+ slanted rear edge, followed later 70s by more vertical rear edge. If this is true, my unease about 73 on the red one evaporates, and the white one moves to whatever later 70s date. |
