It's this 1936 Cross & Ellis Tourer - highly original, unrestored, only had 2 owners, last one since 1960, who took it to Australia. https://www.classic-trader.com/uk/cars/listing/alvis/speed/speed-25/1936/208956 , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxKqZIQ60Os&t=282s . No info on those pages for plate or chassis no. Australian listing, apparently with Aus plate DGW 59 - "Alvis 1937 Speed 25 4-door tourer. Originally bought at the Scottish Motor Show. Concourse condition. One of only 19 existing with Cross & Ellis bodywork. Recently fitted with a new all-aluminium cylinder head. Includes original drivers handbook with matching engine numbers as supplied with car in 1937. Also has spare JD6 magneto, new tank for one-shot chassis lubrication system, spare handle for the built-in jack system and new genuine Alvis tool bag. The car has won many trophies including most desirable car and most elegant vehicle. One owner for last 56 years ..... $330,000" |
