You can tell this is an early model year advertising piece owing to the painted headlamp rims. During the course of the year, Studebaker chromed them on both the Commander and Champion lines. All convertibles carried Regal Deluxe trim. Note: For 1951 and 1952, the top trim line for Commanders was changed to "State". Top trimmed Champions were just called "Regals", dropping the "Deluxe" part of the name, which was then used for the middle trim line. "Custom" was the bottom Champion trim. (There were no Commander Customs or Deluxes.) |
