You don't see why it happened, but they call the sheriff (B.Reynolds)and he tries to get the donkey off the Pinto. Ends up shooting his gun into the air to scare it and it runs away. |

At least it didn't sit on the rear of the vehicle. That and the Sheriff shooting his gun in the air was a trait of his in the film. |
