I am thinking more in the line of Renault ADK 1, but I am not sure. |

I'd say that's a ZIS-5. Spain got quite a lot of these from Russia during the SCW, and they soldiered on in the Army and civvy street for a long time, in many cases till the late 60s, heavily modified with new engines and cabs, sometimes behind recognition. Take a look at the (typical ZIS) grille: it shows the Barreiros logo, an 8 bisected by a vertical line (making the E and B letters for Eduardo Barreiros). Barreiros started his own company and got its fame by modifying ZIS petrol engines into diesels. So here we have a modded ZIS-5. |

@JavierDiesel: Did any GAZ AA come to Spain? There's a truck that might be one in Doctor Zhivago, also filmed in Spain. /movie_59113-Doctor-Zhivago.html |

Hi Gag, it was said no GAZ trucks arrived to Spain, but some papers found lately related to russian aid say there were. Unfortunately, I don't know any pic that clearly shows one of these. -- Last edit: 2012-11-21 20:56:13 |

I don't think it's modified enough to qualify as made for movie. Moreover, one single comment suggesting it's MFM, and that's what it is? My suggestion would be to make it unknown. |
