Either it arrived early (following UK launch in Sept 66) or after the grille was discontinued in UK (Sept 70) and the tooling sent over.

And there was a Vogue grille GT-like version with thick black side strips, again possibly only briefly as other grilles seem more common on the boyracer models. Basically, I don't understand Paykan sequences and models well enough, but they seem to have been frequently changed without the more rigid UK system being apparent.
