I used to call this "The Soviet Jeep". It basically was, though. See the "GAZ 69" page on the Wikipedia. PS: I did the "In the Cinema" paragraph. Make sure to also click the link "GAZ 46" link. Also I couldn't get the link to work. Can anyone help me? -- Last edit: 2012-03-17 04:21:35 |

Wait, 1961? That can't be right. The movie is set in 1957. Which would mean, this car is literally 4 years ahead of its time. |

I had a jeep, 1955 release. Reliable and simple machine, like an AK-47! Mud-pass and a broken clutch! Radiator boil - water from the river flooded, and more to go))) Посмотрите ссылку, она на английском: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GAZ-69 |

Да не.. Наверное имеется в виду, что конкретно эта машина 61-го года, а не модель. Well.. Probably means that just this car is made in 1961, not a model first year. -- Last edit: 2012-11-22 16:27:42 |

Is there any difference between the 1961 MY and earlier versions, cosmetically or mechanically? Or is just a year of manufacture, since the one used was definitively built in 1961? -- Last edit: 2019-03-17 13:33:09 |

In this case, it's a production year since the actual movie car is from 1961 https://www.volocars.com/vehicles/9029/1961-gaz-69-m |
