One of the two in foreground. In background, from left to right: /vehicle.php?id=156137 /vehicle.php?id=156136 /vehicle.php?id=156134 -- Last edit: 2008-02-15 20:20:49 |

Car on the right is a '56 Clipper, the only year it wasn't a Packard Clipper. www.ultramaticdynamics.com/images/56cliper.jpg -- Last edit: 2008-02-15 20:39:16 |

No, it's a 1956 Buick Century or Special |

Right, sorry. Didn't look at the plates close enough. |

The image for the Imperial 1960 shows part of the grille. I'll leave my first comments to be of some use, though I am no longer certain. It looks like it has the "300" style of grille, but it can't be as a sedan. ORIGINAL COMMENT: Car on left appears to be 1957 Chrysler Saratoga [C75-2]. Its winscreen does not feature the compound curve at the top of 1958 Chrysler/De Soto. Site disallows direct image linking, see fifth photo down. http://members.tripod.com/~Tooljunke/1957OtherPeoplesCars.html This image is of a 1958 Windsor and displays the compound-curved windscreen. -- Last edit: 2008-02-15 23:20:05 |

You can see a profile view of the front clip of a '57 from another imcdb page: /vehicle.php?id=73789 |

I am very sure the car on the left is a 1962 Chrysler Newport. |

Agreed, I just didn't know the time frame of the film. See Photo |

The compound-curved windscreen was part of "The Forward Look for 58." Greater visibility was a selling feature, but this was dropped due to glass distortion effects. |

There's no listing for the '56 Buick Special/Century? |
◊ 2008-02-16 23:16 |
You mean the one on the right/foreground? No but there are already few other Buick listed... |
◊ 2008-02-17 18:35 |
Do you mean theres's a quota on how many cars from one make are listed in one movie?! |
◊ 2008-02-17 19:47 |
No but there are already many cars listed with that picture (including a Buick of a close model, so the '56 could be mentioned there), I do not like to list lots of cars with same picture. -- Last edit: 2008-02-17 19:48:07 |
