This entry was left with a mess of Taunus and Cortina nomenclature mixed together so I have changed it to Unknown for someone with knowledge to clean up. |

In a similar to the Glass' guide to the cars sold in Britain, Jan Ullén's Bilfakta listed the cars sold in Sweden. Jan Ullén (1928 - 80) invented a device to meassure cars both outside and inside, better than anything used before, and thus various car companies came to his home at Viken, near Hälsingborg, Sweden, in order to get proper meassurements. The Bilfakta was published from 1966 and continued after Ullén died until 2012. Anyway, in the issue published for the spring of 1972, both Cortina and Taunus are listed. Cortina was sold in the following versions; 1300 L 2 door saloon and 2000 GT 2 door saloon. Taunus was sold in the following versions; 1600 L 2 door saloon, 1600 XL 2 door saloon, 1600 XL 2 door Coupé, 1600 L 4 door saloon, 1600 L 4 door estate, 1600 GT 2 door saloon, 2000 GXL 2 door saloon, 2000 GXL 4 door saloon, 2000 GXL 2 door coupé, 2300 GXL 2 door sedan, 2300 GXL 4 door saloon and 2300 GXL 2 door Coupé. Most of the versions had an option of manual or automatic gearbox. I don't have any other issue close to this one that would list other versions of the Cortina, which I'm sure this is, because of the rear lights, but at least this gives an indication that it was sold in Sweden. -- Last edit: 2021-10-14 20:00:35 |

I think that one's a Datsun 120Y, rather. |
