Yes, Thats right, but you can't tell from this pic thought. The 142 & 144 are simular in the rear, but 15 sec further in the movie you can see that the car has 4 doors, wich make it an 144 an not an 142. |

And it's automatic! |

In the book, the Volvo is a wagon and Arnie's parents also own a Porsche. |

is Automatic really considered a "trim level"? |

Not a trim level, but rather an option/version -- Last edit: 2012-01-19 18:54:30 (vilero) |

Well, apart from the fact that the Volvo is a station wagon in the book, the action took part in a snowy place, which is not in the movie. In fact, they're in California. Lovely that "Automatic" badge in the back of the Volvo ... |

In the DVD commentary they say they had trouble finding locations that didn't have palm trees because they wanted to avoid it looking like it was set in California, then they leave California plates on the Volvo... I suppose the Cuninghams could have moved from Pittsburgh and not got round to changing their plates but... |

Funny that Cycolac mentioned Pittsburgh. There is a Pittsburg(without the H) in the east part of the Bay Area in Calif. |

But the Plymouth also has California plates. ![]() ![]() |
