Oh-oh s13@, I think you have made an incredible discovery!!!Looking at the front fender and the almost straight drop at the rear, it is not an Ohta but a 1947 Tama Electric Car [E4S-47-I] -- Last edit: 2021-12-12 03:33:25 |

I'm actually puzzled by this. I originally entered it as Tama (developed by Tokyo Electric Car Company), but I've changed it to Ohta after I've noticed that the rear section is more rounded (at least to my eyes, but I could be wrong) and the rear wheel arches seem more rounded as well, but you also mentioned the front fenders, which also don't seem to fit for Ohta either.. maybe it is one of half-developed creations with mixed bits and pieces from 2 companies or perhaps it is just a very late Tama model with slightly modernized bits ? |

Indeed s13a! I've been looking at pictures of the Tama and at a 1948 Japanese electric car race! appears with a body with a slightly more curved rear drop ... probably to take away that shoebox image ... The first image is from the 1948 race (which Tama won) in which the rear is seen more rounded ... In the second photo you can see better |

By the way, the name is not very commercial ... There are already 2 records of the Tama Senior with that name, I propose to save it simply as: 1947 Tama Electric Car [E4S-47-II] -- Last edit: 2021-12-12 22:03:43 |
