Meteor Niagara 300 by the two-tone pattern and trim.

It gives the feeling that the Meteor in Canada were considered a more luxurious car than the Fords in the USA

Monarch was more luxurious, Meteor was more a low price one

Yes, but it seems looking at the decorations and the extra load of chrome as if Meteor in Canada was the equivalent of Mercury in the USA and Monarch the equivalent of Lincoln ... That is to say, each brand rises in rank, making the Lincoln disappear for Canada. . I do not know if I explained well

don't worry, it was clear ;)
Meteor and Monarch were mostly created for smaller markets in Canada, where there was sometimes not so many dealerships and people had to go far away to buy what they wanted
same situation also created a Mercury version of Ford's Econoline & pick-up trucks for the small towns where there was no Ford dealerships but was a Mercury one
