This looks like a 1984 or later White(I forgot the name of their heavy-duty cabovers). |

A Western Star cabover would be called COE or Commander. http://www.commercialmotor.com/big-lorry-blog/more-twin-engined-trucks-and-t http://www.commercialmotor.com/big-lorry-blog/the-western-star-commander-ret-1 -- Last edit: 2012-12-10 02:50:43 |

COE stands for "cab over engine" and alot of Cabovers are referred to as that... |

A Western Star cabover of this vintage could be called Cabover. They were called Cabover right on the cabover service manual. Google it and see. |

It's a White Road Commander 2 - from Hankstruckforum.com, a poster posted an article from 1978 when this truck was introduced, shortly after White separated from Freightliner to compete with Peterbilt and Kenworth. |

This truck is indeed a Western Star cabover. For several years after Western Star separated from White, they marketed this cabover as their own, but it did use the White cab. |

Western Star COE, this truck design was inherited from the Road Commander 2 but this isn't one itself. It's very similar to the White WH-series. |
