924 S had normal arches - I think this is 944. No side strip, but absence doesn't identify year or version apart from excluding Turbo. |

Nothing I can pin down for definite date/version, but can fly a couple of kites. Has normal 944 rear spoiler, not the hoop format used on Turbo for final 2 years (1990-91). Rear wiper was standard from 1988 on all versions, but some had it earlier. The aerial may be the best clue - 1985 onwards had aerial within windscreen, and there's no mention of when a roof aerial appeared, either before or after the screen aerial. However roof aerial was used on 928 S4 and later GT and GTS versions from 1987 until it ended in 1995, so a good chance 944 adopted it about the same time. So I'd punt this as a 1989+ 944 S2. |
